C. Useful Tips

  • Weather Dependent: Speedboats can only operate when the sea is calm. The best season to visit is from March to September. During the monsoon season (October to February), boats rarely run due to rough waves.
  • Marine Preservation: Cham Islands strictly enforces a “No Plastic Bags” policy. Please do not bring single-use plastic bags to the island. Sunscreens should ideally be coral-reef friendly.
  • Historic Sites: Don’t miss the Hai Tang Pagoda (built in 1758) and the ancient Champa well, which is said to provide fresh water that never runs dry.
  • Snorkeling vs. Diving: The standard tour includes snorkeling (using a mask and snorkel). If you want to try scuba diving or sea-walking, you can upgrade your package with our guides in advance.

D. VnToYou Advice

“If you are prone to seasickness, we recommend taking motion sickness medicine 30 minutes before boarding the speedboat, as the ride can be quite bumpy on windy days. For our luxury travelers, we highly suggest booking a Private Speedboat and a private wooden boat for snorkeling. This allows you to escape the crowded tour spots, enjoy a secluded swim at Bai Bac beach, and savor a premium seafood lunch prepared fresh on the island. Don’t forget your underwater camera—the coral visibility here is excellent on sunny days!”
