C. Useful Tips

  • The Stairs: To reach the giant Buddha statue, you need to climb 193 steps. It’s a good workout, but there are resting spots along the way, including a stop at the reclining Buddha statue.
  • Scams: Be careful of “fake monks” or people offering you incense or fans for “free” and then asking for a lot of money. Just say “No, thank you” and walk past them.
  • Dress Code: Wear respectful clothing that covers your shoulders and knees if you plan to enter the main temple hall.

D. VnToYou Advice

“For the best experience, visit Long Son Pagoda around 4:30 PM. The weather is cooler for the climb, and the view of Nha Trang city from the top of the hill during sunset is truly beautiful. It’s a peaceful place to reflect and see the local religious life away from the busy beach.”
